Tip number 1: Do your cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach!

When you do your cardio first thing in the  morning your body will utilize stored body fat preferentially for energy, 
if you eat your meal first and then do your cardio your body will preferentially burn the food before it actually burns your body fat so if you want to burn fat faster than do your cardio on an empty stomach.



Tip number 2: Eat the majority of your carbohydrates around your workout!


I recommend my clients have a bigger carbohydrates meal before their workout in order to feel them throughout their workout and then immediately after you finish your work out your body will be depleted, and that is another good time to consume carbohydrates, so before your workout and after your workout is the best time to consume carbohydrates.



Tip number 3: Be aware of your portion sizes!

We all like snacks and a little hundred calorie pack of cashew isn't going to deter your fat-burning pretty much, but if over the course of the day you eat a full box of these you have eaten 700 calories, and 700 calories versus 100 calories (we still have a problem here), so be aware of the portion sizes.
